BBQ teams will begin cooking at 6 a.m. and will be judged at 4:30, and the public is invited to participate in the tastings from 5-7 p.m. Meat will be judged in categories such as best overall ribs and sauce; best ribs; best sauce; chef's specialty; and the people's choice award. This year activities abound with live music; Fences on Parade on display and a car show. The kids will enjoy a popcorn machine, space bounce and face painting.

Tasting tickets are $10 adults; admission for children under 10 is free with an admission from an adult. Tickets available in advance at South Shelby Chamber or Shelby County Arts Council, or can be purchased at the door.
