The 40th Annual Bassmaster Classic returns to Lay Lake on Shelby County.  This marks the fourth time the premier fishing event has been held on Lay Lake, and its first ever to launch from Shelby County's Beeswax Creek Park.  This event brings the world's best fisherman to Shelby County's Lay Lake, home to some of the best fishing in the country. An alternate boat launch for public use would be Paradise Point Marina, a private boat launch (fees required).
