Vincent Town Hall

The Town of Vincent is located in Northeastern Shelby County on the county boundary that follows the Coosa River and is approximately one mile north of U.S. Highway 280. Vincent is located approximately 30 miles southeast of Birmingham.

The Town of Vincent sits on land once owned by the Kidd family who was granted the land in the 1800s. It's charter was enacted by the Alabama Legislature on February 16, 1897 and the community was named in honor of Anna Bella Vincent, a member of the Kidd family.

Vincent became the first community in the state of Alabama with a year-round school calendar in 1993. The quaint Town of Vincent is nestled in the last foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range, amid cotton fields and fresh water springs. Vincent’s rolling hills and relatively flat terrain, coupled with the proximity to the Birmingham metropolitan area and easy access to U.S. Highway 280 makes the town a very attractive place to live.

Vincent is served by the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce  and the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce.
