The Columbiana Public Library has been serving Columbiana and Shelby County residents since 1969. The Library is governed by a five-member library board that is appointed by the mayor and city council.  Currently the library has a collection of over 24,500 materials. We serve a city population of 3,607 plus surrounding unincorporated areas. Last year’s annual circulation of over 66,000 items made the Columbiana Public Library one of the busiest small libraries in the state.

Library visitors enjoy books, videos, DVDs, audio books, music CDs and much more. Public access computers are available for surfing the Internet or using Microsoft office productivity software. Programs for children of all ages are offered at the library throughout the year. Adult programs, author visits, book clubs and many other activities are presented for adults and senior citizens.
