The Jane B. Holmes Public Library in Helena, AL, established in the 1940's, obtained a permanent home at 230 Tucker Road in 1988, with an addition/renovation in 1999. The "neighborhood library" boasts a collection of over 31,000 items, with the largest and most diverse collection of DVDs and Music CDs in Shelby County.

The Library has a yearly circulation of approximately 110,000 items, which include books, videos, DVDs, audio books, and music CDs. Internet access is also available through the library. Programs for children and adults are offered through the library throughout the year.
